PATERNOSTER

A paternoster lift is a continousley moving loop of lifts. it goes up one side and down the other side. when you get to the top it gets dark and it goes round to the other side and goes down again. the one at University of sheffield arts tower goes up 18 floors.

NORMAL LIFTS

there is also a normal set of lifts which look dull compared to the paternoster but they are not dull because they are very fast (about 3.5 mps).
sometimes it is quicker to get the paternoster sometimes it is quicker to get the normal lift depending on how far you are going and how long it takes the noram lift to arrive (most people get on the paternoster anyway because it is more fun)
